About KVC Hospitals

KVC Hospitals is a nonprofit organization serving thousands of children and teens struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, and other mental health challenges. Our youth psychiatric hospitals in Kansas City, KS and Hays, KS offer acute/inpatient treatment and residential psychiatric programs and our Wichita, KS hospital opening in July will provide acute/inpatient treatment programs. KVC Niles, located in Kansas City, MO, offers psychiatric residential treatment programs and therapeutic day treatment services. KVC uses innovative, evidence-based treatment approaches to ensure each child’s safety and well-being.

In addition to providing psychiatric services to children, KVC Hospitals provides consulting to organizations on trauma-informed care and other important topics.

KVC Hospitals is a subsidiary of KVC Health Systems, which serves more than 60,000 children and families each year through behavioral healthcare, child welfare, and community health and wellness programs. Our more than 1,600 passionate, dedicated staff work from 35 locations across the U.S. to help strengthen individuals and families each day.

KVC Hospitals is accredited by The Joint Commission and considered the gold standard in healthcare.

KVC partners with the state of Kansas to ensure every child has access to quality, compassionate, and child-friendly psychiatric inpatient care. Our hospitals and residential treatment programs are able to provide a “safety net” for Kansas’s most vulnerable children and provide the opportunity for extended stays and special funding for those without a payer source.
