About KVC Hospitals
KVC Hospitals is a nonprofit organization serving thousands of children and teens between ages 6 to 18 who are struggling with depression, anxiety, the impacts of trauma, and other behavioral and mental health challenges. Our team implements innovative, neuroscience-based treatment approaches at our inpatient acute hospitals and residential psychiatric treatment centers serving Kansas and Missouri. KVC Hospitals is accredited by The Joint Commission and considered the gold standard in healthcare.
State Hospital Alternative Program
KVC partners with the state of Kansas to ensure every child has access to quality, compassionate, and child-friendly psychiatric inpatient care. Our hospitals and residential treatment programs are able to provide a “safety net” for Kansas’s most vulnerable children and provide the opportunity for extended stays and special funding for those without a payer source.
Our Mission
Enrich and enhance the quality of life of individuals, families and communities by providing comprehensive and compassionate trauma-focused behavioral and mental healthcare, education and medical services.
Our Vision
Providing leadership in behavioral healthcare, social services and professional education through the provision of service delivery models with proven quality and fiscal accountability
