About KVC Hospitals
KVC Hospitals is a nonprofit organization serving thousands of children and teens struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, and other mental health crises. Our two children’s psychiatric hospitals in Kansas, KVC Prairie Ridge Hospital in Kansas City and KVC Wheatland Hospital in Hays, offer acute/inpatient treatment and residential psychiatric programs. Niles, located in Kansas City, MO offers psychiatric residential treatment programs and therapeutic day treatment services. KVC uses innovative, evidence-based treatment approaches to ensure each child’s safety and well-being.
In addition to providing psychiatric services to children, KVC Hospitals provides consulting to organizations on trauma-informed care and other important topics.
KVC Hospitals is a subsidiary of KVC Health Systems, which serves more than 60,000 children and families each year through behavioral healthcare, child welfare, and community health and wellness programs.
