Trauma-Focused Care

Trauma Systems Therapy

Every staff member at KVC is trained in Trauma Systems Therapy (TST), a comprehensive model for treating traumatic stress in children and teens. TST guides children and families to escape “traumatic systems” by building skills to manage difficult emotions, process trauma and move beyond these experiences. During this process, families learn how to build “systems of care” that understand and support their children’s healing.
